Every week second grade meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays to discuss lessons, projects, events, technology, field trips, etc. We meet for an hour each day from 11-12. Our assistants cover lunch and recess for us while we meet. Most weeks either our curriculum coach, principal, assistant principal, media coordinator and tech facilitator join us for part of our meeting to discuss things that are going on. On the days that we go on field trips or have no school we try to make up our grade level times on a different day. We use our pacing guides and NCSCOS to help us when planning.
