Sept. 15, 20, and 21- 3:00-4:00- total of 3 hours
On these three afternoons the staff met to be trained on a new program called Aims Web that is used in RTI (response to intervention) schools. Mt. Ulla is not a RTI school yet but will be in a few years. This program is used to target the areas that students are struggling with the greatest. There are many different levels of the assessments that are given to the students to determine where they are. If a student struggles with a concept for instance, phonics, then the teacher is given an intervention to use with that student. There are literacy and math assessments that are included with this program.
